Duddon Hall

Working directly for owner developer Richard Bowness, the conversion of the main hall and ancilliary buildings into 12No. luxury apartments R G Parkins & Partners Ltd were an integral part the team.

The project was carried out within the backdrop of an area of outstanding natural beauty, every effort was made to ensure that the traditional splendour of Duddon Hall was not compromised.

To the rear east side of the main building a ‘Folly’ structure had been lying derelict for over 100 years. This structure has been given planning approval for conversion into a single unique dwelling.

Modern construction techniques including totally hidden structural steel framing to a discrete extension at the rear of the Folly have been carried out by R G Parkins & Partners Ltd. The Architect to the conversion of the Folly is David Walker Design of Stockport.
